ONE DOWN!

TWO DOWN!!

Today,

One of my favorite half-wild cat avoided me. ONE DONW!

I just realized that as long as I have this blog cat, I won’t be able to renew my memo anymore. TWO DONW!!

My mom bought a MP3 player, thinking that it was CD player. THREE DOWN!!!

And she bitched about it for a while. :P

I happened to be the youngest member of my family and the only female child, but I have been in charge of home electronics ever since I can remember. So I have lots of memories about electronics…

I was so fed up with doing laundry in between my study time, so I asked and asked and finally we got an all-automatic washer. I thought my mom won’t ask me to help anymore since she now only needs to push one button. I was wrong. One day she was pissed that it started spin-dry before washing. I was pretty sure that she pressed “spin-dry” button, but she insisted that she didn’t. So I had to warn her that there is no guarantee of our household sanitation if she gets close to anything but “Auto” button.

There was a time that I got tired of videotaping everybody’s favorite TV shows, so I tried to teach them how to use a VCR. They only got mad and yelled at me.

The other day, my parents complained that they couldn’t use DVD recorder. Well, I am positive that my father is the one who insisted that we get the one with HDD, heard that he was looking for a videotape…

I am not trying to say that everybody should learn these things. If you don’t need it, why should you? We don’t really have to know EVERYTHING about EVERYTHING, right? I am just saying that we should at least know what we NEED to know. Why buy PC if you don’t mean to learn?

The abandonment of knowledge directly leads to the abandonment of rights. When you stop thinking and learning, you automatically throw away many rights you could have exercised with certain knowledge.

I feel like more and more people stop using their brain and let “others’” think for them. And who do they rely on? Mr. President? Give me a break.

Makes about 20.

バター(Butter) 150g
(Sugar) 110g
卵(Egg) 1
(Flour)200g
(Vanilla oil)few drops
(Almond slices) as much as you like!

Leave the butter in room temperature. Mix an egg with vanilla oil. Shift flour.

Cream butter. Whip with a whisk for richer taste. Add sugar first and mix well. Then add egg gradually and blend.

Add shifted flour to 2. DO NOT MIX TOO MUCH. Try to cut flour into the butter mixture. Throw 3/4 of almond slices and mix. Stop just before the flour and butter are completely mixed. Wrap the dough with plastic wrap and leave in a fridge for at least 1-2 hours.

Roast almonds. Heat a frying pan and roast sliced almonds until they become golden brown. Take out the dough from a fridge and shape like a pole. Sprinkle crushed, roasted almonds around the dough. Wrap it again and leave in a fridge.

Preheat the oven at 350F. Cut the dough thinly (about 1/4 inch) and bake for about 20min until the ridges become golden brown!
